About this Course

Bring your love of comics and manga to summer camp! Together, we will dive into the art of words and pictures to create our own comics. Campers will learn how to write and pace rich stories, create engaging characters, build fantastic worlds, and panel comics like a pro, complete with word balloons and sound effects. Your camp counselor is professional cartoonist Kat Klockow, who has 20+ years of experience creating comics and manga in both the US and Japan. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and enjoys nothing more than passing the love of comics and creative writing onto the next generation of creators. Summer Camp Refund Policy: • $40 Deposit is Non-Refundable. • A full refund, minus the non-refundable deposit, will be granted if requested 15 or more days from the start of the program. Please note that credit card processing fees are not refundable. • No refunds or credits will be granted for cancellations requested 14 days or less from the start of the program.
