About this Course

Bring your love of music, and your love of a certain record-breaking world-famous songwriter, to summer camp! Learn how to play guitar (strumming chords, reading and writing tabs, basic music theory), how to write songs, and share the experience in a social, collaborative atmosphere. This is how musicians are born! (Must bring a guitar; all other supplies provided) Your camp counselor is Ali Marcus, who has a 20+ year career as a songwriter and performing artist, not to mention plenty of good stories from the road. She’s worked with major label and independent artists, in management and in recording studios, and loves nothing more than to pass the love of music and songwriting on to the next generation. Happy Time summer camps are two weeks long, with a half day morning camp, and a half day afternoon camp. We believe this amount of time is necessary to generate meaningful relationship building opportunities as well as lasting artistic skills. Campers can sign up for a half day or a whole day experience, including a lunch hour, depending on how much creative immersion they’re looking for! Summer Camp Refund Policy: • $40 Deposit is Non-Refundable. • A 50% refund is granted if requested within two weeks of the first day of camp. (Excluding the non-refundable $40 deposit.) • No refunds or credits will be granted on or after the first day of camp.
