About this Course

Issaquah Parks & Community Services is excited to partner with PRODEPORTE WA volleyball summer camps at the Issaquah Community Center with Coach Octavio Medina and staff! Coach Octavio has over 34 years of volleyball experience and is a well decorated athlete including several college championships and international play, where he was selected to represent Mexico in World Cup qualifiers and other world competitions. His high school girl's volleyball team also placed second in state for the 2023 season. With 10+ years of coaching, he’s very passionate to pass his knowledge of volleyball on in the PNW. This High School Tryout Preparation Camp will help reinforce and hone-in on fundamentals of volleyball through basic movements, games and drills focused on serving, spiking, passing, blocking, offensive and defensive strategies. As this is for high school aged players prepping to tryout for their school team, it is aimed for 14-17 year old intermediate players who have had at least 1-2 years prior volleyball experience. Conditioning will take place every day so please bring running shoes. Summer Camp Refund Policy *$40 Deposit is Non-Refundable. *A 50% refund is granted if requested within two weeks of the first day of camp. (Excluding the non-refundable $40 deposit.) *No refunds or credits will be granted on or after the first day of camp.
